Adults

As adults, we have accumulated various life experiences, some pleasant, some more difficult and we have developed our own set of answers to the emotions felt. The variety and the ability to change from one answer to the next based on the events we encounter warranties our good mental health.
When confronted with overwhelming difficulties, whether at work, or in our personal life, we can enter a path of suffering which can include :

  • Losing flexibility and becoming stuck in one set of behavior that is no longer suitable for the present situation,
  • Living the “Groundhog Day effect” which includes feeling that things/emotions and experiences are repeating in your relationships and life over and over again,
  • Losing the ability to set yourself free from toxic patterns resulting in feeling trapped,
  • Being overhelmed by sadness that can incapacitate, affecting work, family, love relationships and more,
  • Lacking control or losing self-confidence or both, as you feel unable to solve your own problems.

What can be done to ease the pain :

Get help by consulting a trained psychotherapist who can assist you in identifying the underlying cause of your pain and get clear on what’s stopping you, standing in the way and keeping you from moving forward.

To get started I offer – A non-judgmental supportive, safe place for you to :

  • Stop, talk and reflect about what is really causing the current suffering,
  • Discover the patterns that continue to come up over and over again in your life even after you think you’ve dealt with them,
  • Engage in a quest to identify and experience new ways to behave in difficult times.

What are the benefits:

To take this road to understanding through words can help :

  • Identify acute issues, habits, behaviours and hang-ups that contribute to your toxic patterns,
  • Isolate and deconstruct old toxic patterns and habits/behaviours that no longer work to replace them with new one’s that,
  • To be able to see them unfolding as we live and little by little before they even do,
  • Restore psychological flexibility as you reconstruct and install new healthier thought patterns and behaviours using a step-by-step approach to ease into better relationship with self and others,
  • Install healthier answers and solutions where you may have been stuck in the past,
  • As you free yourself from your difficulties and sometimes toxic patterns, you will start to gain in self confidence again, a renewed perspective and Ultimately, mental freedom to help you be happier again !

In a world more and more focused on appearances, it has become increasingly difficult to talk about emotions and feelings. It remains, however, the best way to address difficulties and to feel better. Scheduling the first appointment is a courageous step, sometimes difficult to take. Look at it as the surest way to feel better, the entrance to a path towards well-being.
